The Independent Insurance Agents of Rhode Island (IIARI) welcomes and encourages all interested parties to inquire about affiliating with the Association. In order to accommodate individuals and entities who have the desire to support and be involved with IIARI but are not eligible for Regular Membership or Associate Sponsor, the Affiliate Sponsor category was created.

Any Vendor or Insurance Company that is not an agency or brokerage can be an Affiliate Sponsor. Participants in the Partners Program are automatically included in this category.

“Any individual, corporation, partnership, surplus lines brokers, or other entity that does not otherwise meet all the membership requirements to qualify for regular membership is eligible for Associate Sponsorship. Associate Sponsors do not have any voting rights, cannot serve on the IIARI Board of Directors, cannot be members of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America (IIABA), and are precluded from using any of the Association logos and/or marketing materials. Any individual or entity who does not own a majority of its’ expiration list and renewal rights (e.g., captive agents or direct writers) shall be eligible for Affiliate Sponsorship.“
